CALLING ALL ARTISTS!
REFLECTIONS CONTEST Entry Deadline: November 1, 2024 What is Reflections? Reflections is a National PTA cultural arts recognition program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas; develop artistic literacy; increase confidence and creativity; develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills; and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful not only in school, but in life. Students in pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a theme. The theme this year is Accepting Imperfection. Chinook Trails MS PTSA is excited to announce the PTA Reflections contest for 2024: Accepting Imperfection. Students are invited to reflect on the theme, Accepting Imperfection, and express their ideas using visual art, literature, music composition, photography, dance or film. You can enter in any category and can submit more than one entry. All projects will be on display at the school, and winners in each category will go on to compete at the county, state and national levels. Please submit your projects to the bin in the office by Friday, November 1st. All entries must include an entry form, which can be filled out online or with a paper copy in the office. For more information contact Maija Scoffield at 206-715-6502.

It just goes to show you that they are paying attention to what we do and how we act, and not just with regards to this. Please slow down, don't block traffic flow, and follow the guidelines set by the school. We can do this! Can you sing, dance, tell funny jokes or solve a rubicks cube in a blink? Are you magic, acrobatic, great at lip syncing the coolest song or have a talent to wow? Then we NEED YOU!
Tryouts for the "Happiest Show on Earth" being brought to you by the Chinook Show Choir After School Club will be happening on January 9th and 10th. If your student has a talent they'd like to showcase, have them stop by the office to sign up for a timeslot!
